General

Our cable nets are manufactured from stainless steel AISI 316, also known as 1.4401 or A4-grade. Internationally recognized as the highest standard in stainless steel, AISI 316 offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, even under harsh conditions such as marine environments. These superior qualities make AISI 316 the optimal choice for durable and high-quality architectural applications; no alternative matches its performance or longevity.

Yes, material certificates (such as EN 10204 3.1) are available free of charge upon request. If required, we can also supply additional documentation such as tensile test certificates. Please note that additional costs may apply for these extra certifications. Simply let us know which type of certification you need and we will be happy to advise on the possibilities.

The lifespan of our cable nets depends on the environment in which they are installed. In practice, projects completed more than 25 years ago remain in excellent condition. Thanks to the use of AISI 316 stainless steel, the nets perform reliably and maintain their appearance even in harsh conditions such as marine air or industrial zones. In a typical environment, you can expect a service life of 30 years or more.

Standard cable diameters are 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm. Mesh sizes range from 18 mm up to 400 mm, in 10 mm increments. Upon request, we can also produce custom-made cable nets with specific mesh dimensions tailored to your project. Additional options and bespoke solutions are always possible.

The standard finish is the natural stainless-steel color, providing a timeless look. For those seeking more design variety, we offer a range of polymer coatings. Black, bronze, and red are readily available; white is offered for indoor use. On request, custom colors can be supplied at additional cost.

All nets are custom-made to ensure a perfect fit for each project, which also simplifies installation. For balustrade applications, we also stock rolls in standard dimensions for faster delivery where needed.

Our nets are produced in both Europe and the United States. Special products are manufactured in Germany, while our larger facility in Hungary handles most of the production. For the U.S. market, we operate a factory in Chicago. These international production sites ensure consistently high quality and flexibility for a wide range of projects.

Yes. Thanks to the use of AISI 316 stainless steel, our cable nets are highly resistant to salt-laden air and corrosion. In extreme environments, some discoloration may occur over time, but this does not affect the structural integrity of the net. We are also developing duplex-grade nets for even greater performance in demanding conditions.

The strength and performance of each net depend on the chosen cable diameter and mesh size, which are carefully matched to the application. We offer tailored solutions for every situation and can advise on the best options. Upon request, we can provide reference projects that demonstrate the capabilities of our systems.

Railings

Cable nets are increasingly popular in modern construction projects, especially in railings for both residential and public buildings. Thanks to their high strength, transparency, and contemporary appearance, they provide the ideal balance of safety and aesthetics without obstructing views. Architects and clients choose cable nets because they are versatile, fully compliant with building codes, and contribute to an open, light-filled environment.

For railing applications, 1.5 mm cable nets are typically used. To prevent climbing—especially in areas where child safety is a priority—a 40 mm mesh size is recommended. Where climb resistance is not essential, 50 mm or 60 mm mesh sizes are common. An 80 mm mesh is occasionally applied but generally discouraged due to reduced safety.

Our nets consist of cables and ferrules forming diamond-shaped openings. In a vertical mesh orientation, the diamonds are taller and narrower, which makes climbing more difficult and improves child safety. Vertical orientation is generally more expensive due to the production process. Horizontal meshes, by contrast, appear calmer and are widely used in public spaces.

Yes. Standard mesh sizes range from 20 mm to 400 mm, ensuring a suitable solution for every application. We are happy to advise you on the best mesh size for your project.

Yes. Cable nets are child-safe and commonly used in playground equipment and railings. However, it is important to select the appropriate mesh size and cable diameter to ensure optimal safety against climbing.

Yes. Manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel, the nets are highly resistant to rain, snow, and even marine air.

Absolutely. Cable nets are extremely flexible and easily adapt to curved railings without the need for special manufacturing. Unlike rigid materials, they can be installed in a wide variety of shapes, providing safety and a transparent, elegant appearance.

Each net is supplied with a clear installation manual outlining every step. We strongly recommend reviewing the manual in advance to ensure smooth and safe installation. The usual sequence involves temporarily fixing the net in place with cable ties to achieve proper alignment. Once positioned and tensioned, the net is permanently secured with lacing cables. This method results in a tight, safe, and professional finish.

Yes. Cable nets integrate well with timber and other materials. We have supplied many systems that combine nets with wooden structures. Careful attention to technical details ensures the finished result is strong, safe, and visually appealing.

There is no single answer, as the strength of each net depends on cable diameter, mesh size, and the supporting structure. Based on reference projects, we can usually provide a reliable estimate for practical use. For precise data on maximum loads and reaction forces, a structural analysis is required.

Yes. All nets are supplied with material certificates and comply with European fall protection standards (including EN 12600). If required, we can also provide additional certificates such as test reports or inspection documents from independent accredited institutions. This ensures full compliance with project-specific quality requirements.

Cable nets made from AISI 316 stainless steel are exceptionally durable, often lasting more than 30 years. Their superior corrosion resistance makes them ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, even in coastal environments. While other materials deteriorate more quickly due to moisture, UV exposure, or chemicals, AISI 316 nets retain their strength and appearance for decades—making them a highly sustainable and safe choice.

Cable nets are typically tensioned between border cables or tubes. Around the perimeter, open ferrules and eyelets are provided through which the lacing cable runs, securely attaching the net to the frame. This creates a clean, tight finish that adapts to both straight and curved applications, ensuring strength and safety.

Yes, especially with our CXS type, which is designed for simple and fast installation without complex tools. Thanks to its flexible structure, the net is easy to position, and the manual provides step-by-step guidance. CXS can be tensioned between border cables or tubes and combined with timber or steel structures. For larger projects, our professional installation teams are available to ensure a quick and flawless result.

Fences

Cable net fences are ideal for playgrounds, rooftop gardens, and commercial sites where both safety and transparency are essential. Made of fine yet strong stainless-steel cables, these fences are sturdy while remaining nearly invisible, creating openness and allowing maximum light. Because relatively little material is required, they are lightweight, quick to install, cost-efficient, and highly durable with minimal maintenance—ensuring long-term use with very little effort.

For fencing, we generally recommend cable nets with a 2.0 mm cable diameter. Depending on the application and desired appearance, mesh sizes of 60 mm or 80 mm are most commonly used. Additional cables can be added if extra reinforcement or safety is required.

Yes. The nets are very robust, and their flexibility makes them difficult to climb, pull, or push. While it is technically possible to cut through them, this requires specialized cutting tools that are not commonly available.

In theory, net length is unlimited, but in practice the overall weight sets the limit. Heights of up to 20 meters can be achieved without difficulty. Greater heights are also possible, though we recommend dividing the net into sections for easier handling and installation.

Yes, cable nets are an excellent choice for playgrounds. The key factor is mesh size—choosing an opening that prevents children from climbing. Higher fences are particularly effective since body weight shifts fully to the fingers, making climbing more difficult for children.

Yes, cable nets are widely used in zoos and animal enclosures around the world. They provide safe, durable containment for a wide variety of species. For example, Amsterdam’s Artis Zoo uses our nets even for lion enclosures, ensuring both safety and excellent visibility for visitors. From birds to large cats, a suitable type of cable net can be tailored to each species, enhancing both safety and animal welfare while offering an unobstructed visitor experience.

For the most part, yes. Rain naturally rinses away dirt, so additional cleaning is rarely necessary. In some environments, we recommend rinsing the nets annually. For specific maintenance advice, please contact us directly.

Simple, straight-line fences can often be installed by anyone with basic construction experience and patience. For larger areas or when border cables are required, we recommend professional installation by our team. If you prefer to do it yourself, we provide clear instructions to ensure smooth and efficient installation.

Yes. Cable nets are highly flexible and can easily follow the contour of sloped terrain. Whether convex or concave, the net adapts seamlessly, making it suitable not only for flat surfaces but also for curved or irregular forms.

Our cable nets are custom-made to fit each project perfectly. This guarantees safety and a clean installation, even in complex projects. For railing applications, we do keep a number of standard heights in stock for quick delivery.

Horizontal Safety Nets

Horizontal cable nets are increasingly applied under bridges, in parking garages, at sports facilities, healthcare buildings, observation towers, and balconies. They are suitable for both new construction and retrofit projects. Thanks to their flexible design and robust material, they provide a durable and safe solution wherever fall protection or separation is required, regardless of location or project geometry.

Compared with plastic or synthetic nets, stainless steel cable nets are significantly more durable, stronger, and more visually appealing. Synthetic nets typically have a shorter lifespan, are prone to stretching, and can be easily cut. Cable nets retain their shape, are fully weather-resistant, and ensure long-term safety and reliability across a wide range of applications.

In theory, nets can be manufactured in unlimited sizes by joining panels seamlessly. In practice, the limit is typically around 10 × 10 meters due to weight and installation requirements. Larger nets can be created by dividing them into sections or using special fastening systems, ensuring safety, stability, and ease of installation.

All horizontal nets will deflect to some extent. Controlled deflection is essential to distribute loads and keep forces on the fixing points manageable. The less deflection allowed, the greater the forces at the edges. Striking the right balance between safety, functionality, and aesthetics is key. We are happy to advise on the optimal deflection for your project.

For mesh sizes up to approximately 50 mm, 2.0 mm cables are typically used. For larger mesh sizes, 3.0 mm is more common. The cable diameter is selected based on the net dimensions and expected loads. For maximum safety and durability, a structural calculation is recommended to ensure the net precisely matches your project requirements.

Yes. They are designed to safely catch people and prevent serious accidents. The net flexes slightly on impact, distributing the load and reducing the risk of injury. With their strong yet flexible design and high-quality materials, these nets provide reliable fall protection even under intensive use or unexpected falls from significant heights.

Yes. Around sports fields, cable nets are often used as durable enclosures, with mesh size tailored to the specific sport and ball size. They can also be installed as roof nets to keep balls within the play area. Their flexibility allows them to adapt to a wide range of shapes and applications.

Yes. Cable nets are extremely flexible and can be installed at any slope or angle, even in curved or irregular configurations. This gives designers full freedom to integrate them into complex structures without compromising safety or functionality.

Yes, provided they are correctly engineered and professionally tensioned. Larger mesh sizes allow snow and ice to pass through more easily, reducing accumulation and load. A structural calculation ensures that correct tension and safety are maintained in all conditions.

Yes, but this must be considered during the design phase. Additional deflection will occur where fixtures are attached, so careful planning and calculation are essential. With proper engineering, nets can safely integrate lighting or temporary fixtures.

Based on experience, nets installed more than 20 years ago are still performing safely in demanding environments such as zoos. Their robust construction, durability, and weather resistance ensure long-lasting safety and performance, even under heavy use.
